Besan
Besan is a flour made from desi chana, black chickpea. Besan in English is called chickpea flour, gram flour, or garbanzo bean flour.
Besan is often used in Indian snacks. It is sometimes used to make a batter for fried snacks, like bhajiya (pakora) or kachori. It can be used to thicken gravies as well.
