Chai (Tea)

"Chai" is the Hindi word for tea. In Gujarati, we call it cha. Tea originated in China and was brought to India by the British. Indians quickly adopted it and made it their own. We follow many of the same customs and traditions around tea that the British did. That said, Indians have provided a twist to tea in the form of masala chai, that is, tea spiced with chai masala.
