Onion kulcha is a soft, pillowy, leavened white flour bread with a mouthwatering onion-masala mix layered on top.

Collect the ingredients for the ONION KULCHA

Step 1

Activate your yeast. (Follow recipe link for baking soda version)

Step 2

Mix ingredients to form a dough.

Step 3

Knead your dough. Form it into a ball and brush with ghee. Allow to rise.

Step 4

Divide the dough into eight pieces. Form balls and roll each ball out to form kulcha.

Step 5

Create the onion masala mixture.

Step 6

Top your kulcha with the onion masala.

Step 7 - Stovetop

Cook the kulcha on a cast iron skillet. You can also do this in your oven's broiler.
