Indian Festivals
In Indian culture, food is a huge part of how we celebrate. Different festivals often come with special dishes — like gujiya for Holi or modaks for Ganesh Chaturthi — though the exact foods can vary a lot depending on which part of India you're from. For me, cooking for festivals is one of the most joyful parts of the season, and it’s how I stay connected to my roots while creating new traditions with my family.
Popular Global Holidays
Most of the festivals here are Indian — they're the ones I grew up with and the ones my family celebrates year after year. But you’ll also see holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and even the Super Bowl. That’s because my family lives in the U.S., and we celebrate those too — usually with a bit of Indian flavor. I love bringing our food into those moments, whether it's spiced mashed potatoes or chaat-style Super Bowl snacks.
