Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Basmati rice
  • 1 cup moong dal
  • 5 1/4 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp ghee (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly rinse the rice, until the water runs clear. Rinse the dal separately, also until the water runs clear.
  2. Add all ingredients to the Instant Pot and cook on high pressure for 7 minutes.
  3. Allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes.
