Sev puri, a popular Bombay street food, is a delightful combination of flavors and textures with tangy tamarind and refreshing cilantro-mint chutneys, enhanced by black salt, creating a crunchy, savory snack.

Sev Puri

Ingredients

  • 12 flat crispy wheat puris
  • 1/2 cup boiled potato (diced)
  • 2 tbsp cilantro-mint chutney
  • 2 tbsp tamarind chutney
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • Chopped cilantro (for garnish)
  • Pinch chaat masala

Instructions

  1. Place the puris on a plate.
  2. Add a few pieces of potato to each sev puri. Push them down a little to help them stick to the puri.
  3. Add a pinch of chaat masala to the potato.
  4. Add a dollop of cilantro-mint chutney to each puri, followed by a dollop of tamarind chutney.

  5. Top with a sprinkling of finely chopped raw onion, sev, and chopped cilantro.
